Aztec Two-Step to Play at Last Music on Main Concert

The two-man band will playing their Simon and Garfunkel songbook Weds. night.

It's not Simon and Garfunkel, but some say maybe just a little bit better.

The Aztec Two-Step - the name is from a composition by a 'Beat Generation' poet in the best Kerouac style - is appearing Wednesday night in the last show of the Music on Main fall series. 

The two-man band comprised of Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman will be playing at the on Main St. at 7:30 pm.

Over their 35 year career, the two men are described as a link to the 'Beat Generation' music while also introducing their own 60s- and 70s-inspired compositions to a coterie of fans. They've played their own mix of folk and rock music on their albums and a million venues, including on the David Letterman Show.

New York City DJ and rock history author Pete Fornatale will chat up the audience between Aztec Two-Step songs with his own recollections of the rock scene over the years.

Opening for Aztec Two-Step will be Daniel McBride aka "13 Hands", a Montclair musician who specializes in his own original folk/world music.
